Welcome to UNREFINED. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of unrefinedmeals.com (the "Site"), our online ordering platform, and any meal prep, catering, Grab N' Go, or related services we provide (collectively, the "Services"), offered by UNREFINED ("UNREFINED," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 1627 St. Clair Ave NE, Cleveland, OH 44114.

By visiting the Site, creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to place an order or create an account with us. By using our Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Our Services

UNREFINED prepares and sells gluten-free and seed-oil-free meals for pickup or local delivery, offers weekly meal subscriptions, sells items by the pound, provides catering for private and corporate events, and offers Grab N' Go items. Menus, availability, and pricing rotate periodically and are subject to change without notice.

3. Orders & Ordering Deadlines

  • Weekly orders must be placed (and any changes made) by Wednesday at 11:59 PM for that week's delivery or pickup.

  • Orders placed, or changes made, after the weekly cutoff will be applied to the following week's order.

  • Meals are typically prepared for delivery or pickup starting Sunday.

  • You are responsible for reviewing your order, delivery address, and meal selections for accuracy before the cutoff. We are not responsible for orders sent to an incorrect address you provided.

4. Subscriptions & Recurring Orders

  • Subscriptions renew automatically on a weekly basis unless you skip, pause, or cancel before the applicable cutoff.

  • You may edit your meals, change quantities, skip a week, or cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, subject to the ordering cutoff above.

  • Changes made after the weekly cutoff will not affect the order already in progress and will instead apply to your next scheduled order.

  • It is your responsibility to manage your subscription. We are not obligated to issue refunds for orders that process because a skip or cancellation was submitted after the cutoff.

5. Pricing, Payment & Promotions

  • All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change at any time without notice. Changes will not affect orders already placed.

  • Payment is processed through our third-party ordering platform at the time of order. By placing an order, you authorize us (via our payment processor) to charge your payment method for the full order amount, including any applicable delivery fees and taxes.

  • Promotional codes and discounts (e.g., first-order discounts) are subject to the specific terms disclosed at the time of the offer, are limited to one use per customer unless stated otherwise, cannot be combined unless explicitly stated, and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

6. Delivery & Pickup

  • We offer local delivery within a limited radius of Downtown Cleveland, as shown on our ordering platform at checkout, as well as pickup at our kitchen location.

  • Current delivery fees are based on distance and are shown at checkout; free delivery is available on qualifying order totals as advertised on the Site. Delivery fees and thresholds are subject to change.

  • Deliveries are typically made Sunday afternoon/evening in insulated bags with ice packs designed to keep meals cold for several hours. You will be notified by text when your order is on its way and when it has arrived.

  • You are responsible for retrieving your delivery promptly. UNREFINED is not responsible for food safety issues resulting from meals left unattended for an extended period after delivery, or for delivery delays caused by incorrect address information, inaccessible delivery locations, or circumstances outside our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, road closures).

  • If you select pickup, meals not picked up within a reasonable time may be donated or discarded, at our discretion, without refund.

7. Reusable Delivery Bags

Delivery bags and ice packs remain the property of UNREFINED. Customers receiving delivery are asked to leave used bags and ice packs out for pickup on their next scheduled delivery day. We reserve the right to charge a replacement fee for bags that are not returned within a reasonable period.

8. Missing, Incorrect, or Damaged Orders

If any part of your order is missing, incorrect, or arrives damaged, contact us at info@unrefinedls.com or (216) 906-8937 as soon as possible, and within a reasonable time of delivery or pickup, so we can investigate and make it right (which may include a replacement, credit, or refund at our discretion).

9. Food Safety, Storage & Shelf Life

  • Our meals are fully cooked and intended to be refrigerated promptly and consumed within the timeframe recommended on your packaging or our Site (generally 5–7 days), with items containing seafood consumed first.

  • Our meals do not contain artificial preservatives. Freezing is not recommended, as it may affect quality and safety; any freezing is done at your own discretion and risk.

  • You are responsible for proper handling, refrigeration, and reheating of meals once received. Reheat to a safe internal temperature before consuming.

  • UNREFINED is not liable for illness or injury resulting from improper storage, handling, reheating, or consumption of meals after delivery or pickup, or from consumption past the recommended shelf life.

10. Allergen & Dietary Disclaimer

While we prepare meals to be gluten-free and seed-oil-free and take care in ingredient selection, our kitchen is not a certified allergen-free facility, and cross-contact with allergens (including but not limited to nuts, dairy, soy, eggs, shellfish, and gluten) is possible. Menu descriptions and dietary labels are provided for general guidance only.

If you have a food allergy, sensitivity, or medical dietary restriction, it is your responsibility to review ingredients, ask us questions before ordering, and use judgment about whether our meals are appropriate for you. UNREFINED is not responsible for allergic reactions or adverse health effects arising from consumption of our food.

11. Cancellations, Refunds & Credits

  • Because meals are prepared fresh to order, orders generally cannot be canceled or refunded once the weekly cutoff has passed and preparation has begun, except as required by law or as otherwise stated in these Terms.

  • Refunds or account credits for verified order issues (see Section 8) are issued at our discretion.

  • Subscription cancellations take effect for the next order following a valid cancellation request submitted before the applicable cutoff.

12. Catering Services

Catering orders are subject to separate arrangements regarding menu, quantity, pricing, deposits, lead time, and cancellation terms, which will be confirmed directly with you (typically by email) at the time of booking. In the event of a conflict, the specific terms confirmed for your catering order will govern over this general section.

13. Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash, except where required by law. Lost or stolen gift cards may not be replaced. Gift cards may be subject to additional terms disclosed at the time of purchase.

14. Referral Program

Any "Refer a Friend" or similar referral program is subject to the specific terms posted on the applicable page, including eligibility, reward amounts, and limits on use. We may modify or discontinue referral programs at any time.

15. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

16. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Site or Services for any unlawful purpose; interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts; scrape or harvest data from the Site without permission; or misuse promotional offers or the referral program (e.g., through fraudulent orders or fake accounts).

17. Third-Party Services & Links

Our online ordering is processed through a third-party ordering platform, and our Site may link to third-party sites (such as Instagram or Google). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites or services. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

18. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, logos, photos, recipes, and graphics — is owned by UNREFINED or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UNREFINED and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Site or Services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

21. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UNREFINED and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or Services.

22. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
